I love to do TV and radio, but the sphere
that gives me most pleasure is after-dinner speaking. The reason is simple: as a
complete show-off, I love to be close to, and hear the reactions of, a live
audience. It's probably much the same as an actor treading the boards, responses
are immediate and I find the adrenalin rush quite intoxicating!
I always leave people laughing and
believe there is no better tonic for easing the woes of the world. |
